Farmer Boris goes to grandma's

'Boer Boris gaat naar Oma' is the eighth picture book in the successful series by Ted van Lieshout and Philip Hopman. In this part, Boris and his brother and sister go to Grandma in The Hague to bring some fresh fruit.

Farmer Boris and his sister Sam and brother Berend have picked a whole bunch of apples, pears and plums. Delicious, but what are they going to do with all that fruit? 'We're going to take them,' says Boris Boer, 'to Grandma in The Hague. She bakes pies from apples and makes juice from pears, and she makes jam from plums for on rusk and in porridge.' And so they set off, by train to The Hague. Once they arrive, Grandma turns out not to be the sweet old lady the reader had expected! 1
