Description

The elk cow has a long snout with which she can smell the juicy grass from far away. The tuft near her feet tastes so good that she wants to find more of it. But her calf is not yet so keen on the green stuff. She would rather drink from her mother! The stately elk cow takes loving care of her calf. She gives her milk all day long. To maintain her strength, the mother must eat enough fresh grass. In search of a lush meadow, she stretches out her long snout and sniffs around. When she picks up the scent of juicy grass, she strides towards it, with her calf in hot pursuit.
