The European Tree Frog only grows to a size of three to four centimetres. Although it is very small, it is not easy to miss. It is bright green, only its belly is light brown to cream-coloured. A striking dark brown stripe runs from the flat, broad snout past the eye and over the entire side. The tree frog is always easy to recognise by this. A handsome fellow! The European Tree Frog looks enterprising. Fortunately, he gave up his job as a weatherman in a jam jar a long time ago. That was not for him. They much prefer to sit on rainy leaves or use the sticky discs on their legs to nimbly crawl up water plants. At the moment he is very content. With his belly full of crispy flies he is enjoying the sun. Quack!
