In Sunrise Lane, you're a contractor building a residential neighborhood. You're trying to choose the best plots of land on which to build houses.
The game board consists of a grid of spaces marked with different values from 1 to 5 in a specific color. During a turn, you either draw two colored cards from the draw pile and add them to your hand (with a limit of five cards), or you discard cards to build a building or buildings on a space of the card's matching color, then draw one new card.
When you build a building, you must place it adjacent to an existing building and discard one or more cards of the color corresponding to the space you want to build on. You can play a maximum of five cards. For each card you play, you build one building on the space. You then receive a number of points equal to the number of dots on the space multiplied by the number of buildings you built. You can build multiple buildings during a turn.
