Centuries ago, the Greek, Persian, and Assyrian empires possessed vast amounts of land and wealth. Despite their fortresses and imposing armies, rumors circulated about a formidable enemy from the region north of the Black Sea. The fierce warriors, both men and women, arrived on horseback. They were skilled with sword, bow, and axe. But they were no uncivilized barbarians. Their skilled craftsmen were renowned for their detailed gold trinkets. They also made leather armor and developed the recurve bow. They trained eagles for hunting and warfare. Some even believe that the Greek tales of the Amazons are based on them. But they were more than a legend or fable. They were the Raiders of Scythia. The player with the most Victory Points (VP) at the end of the game is the winner. Victory points can be earned by raiding settlements, plundering, and completing missions. You will need to hire warriors, train animals, and stock up on sufficient supplies. The game ends when only 2 plunder spaces or 2 missions remain on the game board.
