Paladins of the Western Kingdom

Paladins of the Western Kingdom is set in a turbulent time in the West Frankish Empire, around the year 900. Despite frantic attempts to rebuild the city, surrounding communities are threatened by outsiders. Saracens are scouting the borders, while the Vikings plunder wealth and livestock. Even the Byzantines from the East are showing their dark side. As noble men and women, players attempt to hire workers from the city to defend against enemies, build fortifications, and spread the faith throughout the land. Fortunately, you are not alone. The king, a wise man, has sent his best knights to assist in our efforts. Saddle the horses, sharpen the swords; the paladins are coming. The player with the most Victory Points (VP) at the end of the game is the winner. Victory points can be earned by building outposts and fortifications, sending out monks, and confronting outsiders. In each round, players ask for help from a specific paladin and hire workers to perform tasks. During the game, faith, strength, and influence will gradually increase. This not only affects the number of victory points but also determines the power of your actions. The game ends at the end of the 7th round.
