The Taverns of the Old City is a deck-building game about competing taverns, where drunkards and nobles drink their beers and spirits. Players are innkeepers in their own establishments and, through the right investments, try to make their pub the best in the old city. As an innkeeper, you attract new customers and occasionally even a nobleman, who brings fame. You'll also have to invest in tables, recruit staff, and find suppliers of the golden liquor. Each round, players roll and choose dice, passing them to their neighbor. The dice determine which beers you tap and pour. Will you pour your regulars at the bar again, or will you choose that rich bastard in the corner? Ultimately, it's all about victory points, which determine the winner after eight rounds. In addition to the base game, there are four modules that build on each other, offering more challenge—and more fun. Game features • Ages 12 and up • 2 to 4 players • Playing time approx. 60 minutes
