Spotted eagle rays have flat, disc-shaped bodies, deep blue or black with white spots on top with a white underbelly, and distinctive flat snouts that resemble a duck's bill. Their tails are longer than those of other rays and may have venomous spines. The front half of the long, wing-like thoracic disc has five small gills. Adult spotted eagle rays can grow up to 5 meters (16 ft) in length; the largest have a wingspan of up to 3 meters (10 ft) and weigh up to 230 kg (500 lb). This spotted eagle ray toy figure measures 16 x 14 x 1.5 centimeters (6.3 x 5.5 x 0.6 in).
