Ideal for knotting smaller projects such as dream catchers, earrings, key rings etc. Single strand macrame cord is ideal for projects where the cord needs to have a 'brushed' effect. Macrame is an ancient technique where you use strong yarn or rope to tie different types of knots, which then form different patterns. You can learn how to do some of these knots with our technique videos. The activity requires almost no tools other than the macrame rope/cord, although it helps to do your knotting projects on a special macrame board/clipboard.

At the end of a project, the ends can be frayed and combed for a different look.
