Sturdy black watercolor paper made of 100% cellulose of excellent quality with a textured surface! The paper is A4 size and 230 gsm.
For successful watercolor painting, we recommend using potted watercolor paints with pearlescent pigments (which create a dramatic effect on the black background). You can also use classic potted watercolor paints, mixing the white with all the other colors in the palette. The colors create the same effect on the black watercolor paper as pastels.
Colored crayons: Use porous soft pastels, soft and oily oil pastels, or hard colored crayons, etc., directly on the watercolor paper. Naturally, the lightest colors will stand out most strongly on the black paper. Don't forget to fix the soft pastels with Fixative when you're finished.
If you want to work with light colors on a dark background, this watercolor paper is an excellent choice and can be used in various ways. The black color of the paper offers new decorative possibilities, not only with watercolor paints, but also with colored chalks such as soft pastels, oil pastels, etc. Whatever you use, it's important to choose a medium with a high pigment content.
