High-quality linoleum roller with a sturdy handle. Thanks to the solid rubber, this roller is ideal for applying printing ink for linoleum prints, etc.
Roll thick printing ink into a thin, even layer in an empty ink tray. Then, roll the ink onto a cut-out linoleum or rubber printing block. Roll back and forth in different directions, from one edge of the printing block to the other.
Place the paper to be printed on the printing block and then place a piece of paper or cardboard on top for protection. If you don't have a graphics press, a roller is a good alternative for smaller images.
Roll back and forth with the linoleum roller on top of the protective paper; change direction and roll from one edge of the printing block below to the other until the ink is evenly distributed.
Remove the protective paper, remove the printed paper from the printing block, and let it dry. Rinse the roller in lukewarm water and dry with a paper towel or dishcloth.
The advantage of using a solid rubber roller instead of a foam paint roller is that the slightly sticky printing ink deposits itself in a thick, even layer on the roller, while a foam roller only absorbs a portion of the ink. Therefore, if you want an even and perfectly printed image, we recommend using a solid rubber roller.
