She has no father, no brothers and sisters and no grandparents. Julia is super curious and incredibly stubborn and she never misses an opportunity for adventure. And she likes to do that with her friend Sam. Sam lives in the middle front of the Mouse House with his father, mother, brothers and sisters. He has two grandfathers, two grandmothers, and two uncles and aunts. Sam is super shy and very well behaved, but in the company of Julia he dares to take on adventures that he would otherwise never dare. Together they form an inseparable duo. The history of the Mouse House began with Karina Schaapman, a Dutch children's book writer and artist. In 2008, she started building hundreds of mouse-sized buildings full of houses, shops, streets and outdoor spaces with patience, precision and an incredible eye for detail. The Mouse House is made entirely by hand from waste materials and vintage elements and resulted in a series of beautiful children's books, of which 'The Mouse House' was the first part. With the help of the books from the Mouse House series, you will always get to know a new part of the mouse world.
