A new friend for Dikkie Dik

"A New Friend for Dikkie Dik" is the picture book based on the second Dikkie Dik film of the same name. In this story, Dikkie Dik and Cat Mouse learn that you shouldn't judge a person by their appearance, but first get to know them better. For children aged 3 and up.

In this cheerfully illustrated book, Dikkie Dik 's garden is suddenly covered in snow—what a treat! While Dikkie Dik and Cat Mouse are enjoying playing, the new neighbor dog pokes his nose through the fence. He's big, loud, and a little too enthusiastic, and his wild behavior terrifies the cats. In their haste to escape, they find a sled in the barn. Searching for the perfect sledding spot, they embark on an adventurous journey to the dunes. Along the way, they meet old friends and are followed by the neighbor dog. His antics frighten all the animals. But when they get into trouble, the new neighbor dog proves to be an unexpected hero.

After the huge success of the first animated film, "Dikkie Dik and the Missing Cuddle Toy," a new film will be released in theaters in the winter of 2024: "A New Friend for Dikkie Dik." The Dikkie Dik films are based on the beloved books by Jet Boeke and are truly action-packed, shout-along, and dance-along movies for all ages.
