Arabians have a particularly elegant appearance, thanks to their black, gray, reddish brown or chestnut brown coat.
Arabs used to be bred by Bedouins and lived with families in the desert. Sometimes they even slept in their tent! Today, these remarkable horses can be recognized by the posture of their tails and the shape of their heads. Almost every horse breed can be traced back to an Arabian bloodline. Arabians were crossed to pass on certain traits (such as speed and endurance, but also their predisposition for healthy bones) to other breeds. Arabs are known for their observance and willingness to cooperate, as well as their vigilance and temperament. The 'versatile Arabian' often wins long-distance races and is a popular breed worldwide.
