Description

The modern unicorn is depicted as a white horse with a long, spiraling golden or white horn emerging from its forehead. This wasn't always the case. In the Middle Ages, the unicorn was considered the size of a donkey or goat. It was white, but had the head of a stag, the body of a horse, the tail of a lion, the beard of a goat, and cloven hooves. It was a symbol of purity and fidelity and was believed to be untamable. Dimensions: 19 x 7.5 x 12 centimeters.
