Description

It is the year 1900. Pier lives in a small cottage in the countryside. His little sister is seriously ill, but there is no money for medicine. Then an unknown man gives the family money to buy medicine. In exchange, Pier must go with him to work in The Hague. Pier loves the big city; he is wide-eyed with wonder.
