Rik and Jesper live (almost) next to each other - there is one house in between. That is not so bad in itself, but unfortunately the sour neighbor Arie Zemelaar lives there, who hates children and noise.

That is bad luck, because Rik and Jesper build like crazy! And that makes noise. And sometimes things go wrong, like on the day of The Disaster. That has something to do with an underground tunnel system, quite a few bizarre structures and a plague of special pets...
