Rik and Jesper make a mess of things

You know Rik Kleeven and Jesper Weijs from their YouTube channel Glowmovies. In their videos, they build the craziest creations and dream up the coolest challenges. In their children's book "Rik and Jesper Make a Mess," they build like crazy, and that leads to The Disaster… Rik and Jesper live (almost) next door to each other—there's just one house between them. That's not so bad in itself, but unfortunately, they have their grumpy neighbor, Arie Zemelaar, who hates children and noise. That's unfortunate, because Rik and Jesper build like crazy! And that makes a racket. And sometimes things go wrong, like on the day of The Disaster. It involves an underground tunnel system, a number of bizarre structures, and a plague of unusual pets… In this humorous and adventurous graphic novel, text and images come together in an ingenious way: illustrations, handwritten text, and comics by Tamara Boon alternate to bring the story to life.
