These drawing pencils, with varying degrees of hardness, are ideal for detailed drawing. The hard pencils (H) are lighter in color, and the soft ones (B) are darker. This is an advantage when working with shading/cross-hatching on a drawing. You can also complement or combine colored pencils and pastel pencils, depending on the desired expression. Charcoal and pastel pencils are very soft and porous drawing tools, suitable for rougher sketches on coarse paper, where the lines can be rubbed out and blended, or removed with the tapered stump or the kneadable eraser (which can be pulled apart and shaped into the desired shape). This mannequin can be positioned in various positions and is a great way to help you maintain the proportions and lines of a human body while sketching or drawing. Sketch or drawing paper is recommended for drawing pencils, while slightly coarser drawing paper is recommended for charcoal and chalk pastel pencils, which holds the colors better than smooth paper.
