Japan re-established trade ties with the West, and the once-sleepy fishing village became the country's most important trading center. Raw materials like copper and raw silk left Yokohama, while foreign technology and culture entered the city. Modernization began to take hold in Japan, and Yokohama's merchants led the way.

In Yokohama, all players are merchants, competing to gain the most renown through successful business transactions. They focus on gathering trade goods, learning new technologies, and opening shops and trading houses throughout the city. To find new trading opportunities, players must scour the streets of Yokohama for opportunities.

Yokohama is a set collection and worker placement game with a modular game board, allowing for endless variation and ensuring no two games are ever the same. Collect points along the way and trigger bonuses at the end of the game to win.

Suitable for 2 to 4 players, ages 14 and up. A game lasts an average of 90 minutes.
