Ideal for knotting smaller projects such as dream catchers, earrings, keychains, etc. Single-strand macrame cord is ideal for projects that require a brushed effect. Macrame is an ancient technique in which strong yarn or rope is used to tie various types of knots, which then form different patterns. You can learn how to make some of these knots with our technique videos. The activity requires almost no tools other than the macrame rope/cord, although it helps to use a special macrame board/clipboard for your knotting projects.

At the end of a project, the ends can be frayed and combed for a different look.
